Kno-Ho-Co-Ashland Dental Clinic
Serving Ashland County
The Ashland Dental Clinic was established in 1998 to meet the community need of affordable dental services to the uninsured and under-insured. During an Ashland County Community Needs Assessment, it was determined that 85% of respondents reported they had no dental insurance or that they utilized a Medicaid card. It was determined that local dentists found it not cost effective to serve Medicaid patients, and only a small percentage of patients were receiving dental care with most of those being served out of the county. The Ashland Dental Clinic now serves Medicaid /Managed Care patients and charges patients on a sliding-fee scale.
Services provided include oral exams, cleanings, x-rays, flouride treatment, sealants, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, night guards, dentures, and most all dental procedures.
