Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Funding Provided by Corporation for National Services, State Area Agency on Aging Serving Knox, Holmes, and Coshocton Counties



The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program helps individuals age 55 and older put their skills and life experiences to work for their communities. RSVP volunteers serve from a few hours to twenty hours per week. They perform a wide variety of services from tutoring in the schools to renovating homes, to planting gardens and programming computers. However they choose to serve, RSVP volunteers meet community needs and make a lasting difference.


Population Served:

Adults age 55 and older regardless of income in Knox, Holmes and Coshocton counties.

Services Provided:

Provides an opportunity for individuals age 55 and older to develop meaningful volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are placed at work stations that serve basic human needs in their communities. Volunteer services are provided to infants through the elderly.

Goals:

Approximately 295 volunteers give 66,200 hours of service yearly with a larger number of persons in the community benefitting from their volunteering.
